Competence meeting for electromobility and specialist exhibition Elektro: Mobilia again in Cologne in February 2013
For the first time as part of the elektro: mobilia: Symposium for fleet managers on the subject of “Electromobility in commercial use”

Am 13. and February 14, 2013, the ZVEI – Central Association of the Electrical and Electronics Industry, together with Koelnmesse, are now organizing the “Electromobility Competence Meeting” for the fifth time and the parallel “elektro: mobilia” exhibition. Experts and decision-makers from the automotive, energy, electrical and electronics industries as well as representatives from politics will discuss current projects and developments together. The aim is to force the widespread introduction of vehicles with electric drives.

The two-day congress has developed into a leading industry platform and offers a large number of interesting lectures on the state of technology, marketing development, and best practices in global electric mobility. The parallel exhibition, elektro: mobilia, as a central information and business fair, connects trade visitors and customers with companies that showcase the innovative electromobility of tomorrow.

The congress will be opened by Dr. Kurt Demmer, chief economist at IKB Deutsche Industriebank AG, together with ZVEI President Friedhelm Loh and Garrelt Duin, Minister for Economic Affairs, Energy, Industry, SMEs and Crafts of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia. Speakers include: Harald Kröger, Vice President e-Drive Daimler AG, Wolfgang Sczygiol, Managing Director Brose-SEW, Dr. Wolfgang Scholze, Head of Environmental Management Fraport AG and Dr. Rudolph Krebs, General Manager of Volkswagen AG.

The specialist exhibition elektro: mobilia provides an overview of the electromobile value chain. It opens up opportunities for networking on an industrial level for suppliers up to OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers). Fleet and fleet managers of large companies as well as public service providers such as municipal utilities and transport companies, who will play a pioneering role in the use of electrically powered vehicles, are also among the group of visitors to the specialist event.

In addition to the manufacturers of electric and hybrid vehicles, elektro: mobilia also presents products and services from the areas of drive systems, components, storage, charging infrastructure and services.

At the initiative and invitation of the trade magazines Firmenauto / ecoFleet in cooperation with Koelnmesse, a symposium specifically aimed at the target group “fleet managers” is taking place at the elektro: mobilia for the first time. Am 13. In February 2013, fleet experts shed light on the subject of “Electromobility in commercial use”.

The sensible use of electric vehicles in fleets will be presented. The cost-benefit aspects of an electric fleet are analyzed and attractive leasing models are shown.

Once again, a test course will be implemented as part of the elektro: mobilia 2013. Directly adjacent to the exhibition, CO²-neutral vehicles can be tested here. The test course begins in Hall 8 and leads back via the adjacent outdoor area to the company’s stopping bays. Commercial customers, dealers and industry representatives have the opportunity to get an overview of the market and to experience all the exhibits and their properties during a test drive.
