On 13th and 14th February 2013, the ZVEI – German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association and Koelnmesse are organising the “Electromobility Competence Meeting” and the parallel trade exhibition “elektro:mobilia” for the fifth time. The aim is to promote the broad introduction of vehicles with electric drives.
The two-day congress has developed into a leading industry platform and offers a variety of interesting presentations on the state of the art, marketing development and best practices in global electric mobility. The parallel trade exhibition elektro:mobilia, as a central information and business fair, networks trade visitors and customers with companies showing innovative electric mobility of tomorrow.
The congress will be opened by Dr. Kurt Demmer, Chief Economist of IKB Deutsche Industriebank AG, together with ZVEI President Friedhelm Loh and Garrelt Duin, Minister of Economic Affairs, Energy, Industry, Small and Medium-Sized Businesses and Trade of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia. Speakers include Harald Kröger, Vice President e-Drive Daimler AG, Wolfgang Sczygiol, Managing Director Brose-SEW, Dr. Wolfgang Scholze, Head of Environmental Management Fraport AG and Dr. Rudolph Krebs, General Representative of Volkswagen AG.
The elektro:mobilia trade exhibition provides an overview of the electromobile value chain. For suppliers up to OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) it opens up networking opportunities at industry level. Fleet and fleet managers of large companies as well as public service providers such as municipal utilities and transport companies, who will play a pioneering role in the use of electrically powered vehicles, are also among the visitors to the trade event.
In addition to manufacturers of electric and hybrid vehicles, elektro:mobilia will also present products and services from the fields of drive systems, components, storage, charging infrastructure and services.
At the initiative and invitation of the trade journals Firmenauto/ecoFleet in cooperation with Koelnmesse, a symposium specially designed for the target group “fleet managers” will be held for the first time at elektro:mobilia. On 13 February 2013, fleet experts will shed light on the topic of “Electric mobility in commercial use”.
The sensible use of electric vehicles in fleets will be presented. The cost-benefit aspects of an electric fleet will be analysed and attractive leasing models will be presented.
Once again, a test track will be realised within the framework of elektro:mobilia 2013. Directly adjacent to the trade exhibition, CO²-neutral vehicles can be tested here. The test track starts in hall 8 and leads over the adjacent outdoor area back to the companies’ bus stops. Here, commercial customers, dealers and industry representatives have the opportunity to gain an overview of the market and to experience all exhibits and their characteristics during a test drive.
