In addition to the conventional films for electrical insulation, such as Mylar, Nomex, ArpaxX, Hostaphan and Lexan, Dr. Dietrich Müller GmbH also processes Valox film from the company Sabic to stamp parts for the lighting industry.
Valox® FR-1 is a flame-retardant thermoplastic polyester film, which up to 125 microns is UL94 VTM-0 listed and shows a good heat resistance.
Due to the excellent dielectric strength and ease of processing (i.e. thermo-forming, embossing, burr-free die cutting, creasing and folding) Valox FR-1 film is very well suited for a multitude of applications in the electrical, electronic and medical applications.
Typical fields of applications include the use in the lighting industry, the manufacture of insulating parts and insulation in power supplies and bus bar rails.
Dr. Dietrich Müller GmbH manufactures stamped parts as well as formed parts out of this material.
The parts can also be supplied as self adhesive. In addition, the products can also be supplied in a flat or folded condition, ready for installation by the customer on delivery.
