4th Materials Technology Symposium and e-Conference

On February 25th and 26th, 2021, the Clausthal Center for Materials Technology (CZM) will host the 4th Materials Technology Symposium in the Aula Academica of the TU Clausthal. Digital participation in the event will also be possible. Anyone interested in the subject from science and business can submit their abstracts for lectures or posters to the symposium.

The CZM Materials Technology Symposium has established itself over the past few years as a permanent fixture in the field of materials science and materials technology conferences. The special feature of the symposium lies in its openness to all research disciplines that deal with questions from the above-mentioned subject areas; at all stages of the process chain from material development to processing. Accordingly, we look forward to numerous contributions from the natural and engineering sciences as well as from science and industry!

The guests can look forward to the following program items that have already been fixed:

  • Special session including demonstrator exhibition of the results of the Lower Saxony innovation network GROTESK -additive manufacturing of optical, thermal and structural components-
  • Presentation of the new collaborative research center "oxygen-free production" with the participation of the TU Clausthal
  • Guest article by neuroscientist Prof. Dr. Martin Korte on the topic of "Lifelong Learning" and subsequent evening event

Based on the experiences during the past corona restrictions, the symposium on materials technology will take place next year as a so-called hybrid event. This means that parallel to the face-to-face event, the symposium will also be held as an e-conference, so that in addition to participation on site, participation as a speaker or listener live via the Internet is also possible. The lectures are shared via digital auditoriums and all participants can interact with each other. The goal is to provide an even more advanced location-independent conference platform to include additional high-quality speakers and participants. The Lower Saxony Symposium on Materials Technology therefore becomes the Symposium on Materials Technology and e-Conference.

Participation in the conference is open to all interested parties.
