9200 - Structural Epoxy Adhesive
9200 - Structural Epoxy Adhesive
9200 is a 2-component construction adhesive that was developed for the production of permanently stable connections. It adheres strongly to metals as well as a variety of difficult-to-bond materials such as glass, ceramics, wood, engineering thermoplastics and thermoset laminates such as SMC (Sheet Molding Compound) and GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastics). It distributes the tension evenly over the entire adhesive surface and is particularly suitable for joining different materials that are exposed to alternating thermal loads.
This epoxy structural adhesive creates tough, vibration-resistant bonds, making it an ideal adhesive for body panels. It is the best adhesive for aluminum and works well as a structural adhesive for automotive applications or as an automotive sheet metal adhesive.
9200 provides excellent electrical insulation and protects against static discharge, thermal shock, galvanic corrosion, ambient humidity, salt water, fungi and many harsh chemicals. It's smooth, limp, and thixotropic, making it great for vertical surfaces and crevice filling.
It is also suitable for potting electronics in cases with gaps through which a non-thixotropic potting compound would flow. 9200 is viscous, yet fluid enough to be dispensed with a syringe. The 50ml size can be used with a mixing tip when dispensing with a caulking gun or pressurized system.
Use 9200FR for a flame retardant version. Use 9310 for a 1 part adhesive. We also offer electrically conductive and thermally conductive adhesives.
