Nomex® 410 FI 15000 – High-performance electrical insulation paper for demanding applications

Structure of Nomex® 410 FI 15000

Nomex® 410 FI 15000 is a synthetic electrical insulation paper, which consists of a calendered, aromatic Polyamide fibrid flake composition consists.

Excellent insulating properties

Nomex® 410 FI 15000 is an insulating material of Class H (180°C) and offers outstanding thermal stability. Even temperatures up to 200°C have minimal effects on its electrical properties. The mechanical properties remain stable even at higher temperatures and can be extrapolated.

Due to its special polymer structure, Nomex® 410 FI 15000 is also ideal for use at extremely low temperatures down to -190°C. The material is characterized by a high short-term dielectric strength whereby the continuous field strength should not exceed 1,5 kV/mm.

In addition, Nomex® 410 FI 15000 is compatible with all common classes of resins, paints, adhesives, as well as transformer fluids, lubricating oils, and coolants. While some common solvents may cause slight, reversible swelling, the material remains highly stable overall.

Another outstanding feature is the high Flame resistance (UL94V-0) and excellent resistance to beta and gamma radiation.

Versatile application possibilities

Nomex® 410 FI 15000 is used in a wide variety of electrical insulation applications. The application spectrum ranges from AC and DC motors of Large generators to Liquid and dry transformers and ThrushesThanks to its high radiation resistance, it is also for environments with beta and gamma radiation exposure very well suitable.

Default color

Nomex® 410 FI 15000 is supplied as standard in the colour beige/amber.

Conclusion

Nomex® 410 FI 15000 is a high-performance electrical insulation paper characterized by its high thermal and electrical stability, as well as its excellent resistance to extreme temperatures and radiation. Its versatility and compatibility with a wide range of materials make it a first-class choice for demanding electrical applications.
