AFTC high-performance adhesive tapes

AFTC is a manufacturer of self-adhesive product and system solutions for industry and trade. AFTC has more than 15 years of experience in extrusion technology and the development of adhesives and innovative product solutions. The core range is based on acrylic foam tapes - the SilverTapes.

Due to their adaptability, the Silvertapes are able to glue a large number of different thin and structured materials over the entire surface and without tension. The tapes are able to absorb the different thermal expansions of the two materials.

The Silvertapes are the core products of the AFTC Group. The double-sided acrylic foam assembly tapes are equipped with a pressure-sensitive (Pressure Sensitive Adhesive PSA), visco-elastic, 100% acrylate adhesive. This means that 100% resistance to aging, weather and UV is achieved. These products are particularly suitable for bonding materials such as plastics, metals, aluminum or glass.

SilverTape® Industrial 5305, 5310, 5315, 5320, 5321

Are double-sided, pressure-sensitive, high-performance acrylate adhesive tapes used in a wide variety of constructions that offer technical, economic and aesthetic advantages compared to other fasteners such as rivets, screws or welding. These AFTC types are used in the automotive, marine, aircraft, rail vehicle, electronics or construction industries.

These AFTC adhesive tapes have a very high transparency and are very well suited for the bonding of high and medium energetic surfaces as well as glass and various transparent plastics, whereby the connection should be highly transparent and no stress corrosion cracking occurs. The advantage of the excellent adaptability is that thin or structured surfaces can be bonded over the entire surface and without tension. The adhesive tapes are very suitable for compensating for differences in expansion between the different materials. It is important that there is no gap loading on the connection during use. The good impact strength of these 53 grades at temperatures below 0 °C is also remarkable.

Other advantages: Vibration dampening, sealing, very good resistance to weather, aging, yellowing (UV influences), chemicals, plasticizers, and therefore excellent long-term stability.

Areas of application for AFTC adhesive tapes

Areas of application are e.g. B. Attachment of advertising boards, installation of light lines, etc.

SilverTape® Industrial 5305, 5310, 5315, 5320, 5321 have a closed cell structure which is wind and waterproof. Since the adhesive tapes are made of 100% acrylic adhesive, they form an almost indestructible connection between the surfaces to be bonded. In addition, they are resistant to the effects of UV radiation, aging, plasticizers, solvents and are weatherproof. The tapes stick instantly and are also resistant to “shear and peel forces”.

SilverTape® is very suitable for absorbing dynamic loads because it remains viscoelastic, has a sealing effect and forms a lasting, tension-free connection between the surfaces to be bonded
