The following types in particular are used as diffuser foils:
Lexan 8B35
Lexan 8B35 is a colorless polycarbonate film with the surfaces velvet matt / matt. This Lexan film is available in thicknesses from 0,25mm to 0,75mm. Lexan 8B35 has an upward transmission of approximately 80% and can be used as a light diffuser.
Lexan 8B28
Lexan 8B28 is an off-white polycarbonate sheet. Lexan 8B28 has the following finishes: velvet matt / fine matt. Lexan 8B28 is available in thicknesses from 0,25mm to 0,75mm. Lexan 8B28 has a transmission approximately 60% higher. As a standard diffuser film, it is particularly suitable for applications with fluorescent tubes.
Macrofol LM 309
Makrofol LM 309 is a translucent polycarbonate film. Makrofol LM 309 is available in thicknesses of 0,3 and 0,5 mm. They have increased transmission by 85 and 81% respectively. Makrofol LM 309 was specially developed for use as a diffuser film. It has a balanced relationship between transmission and scattering effect.
Makrofol DE 1-4 white
Makrofol DE 1-4 is a pure white polycarbonate film with glossy/matt surfaces. Makrofol DE 1-4 is available in thicknesses from 0,25 mm to 0,75 mm. Makrofol DE 1-4 has a transmittance of approx. 60% higher. Makrofol DE 1-4 is used as the standard diffuser film. It is used in fluorescent tube applications. Makrofol DE 1-4 with a thickness of 0,5 mm is also suitable for large parts. Makrofol DE 1-4 is particularly valued for its pure white colour.
FRI 175
PET 175 is a colorless PET film with matt surfaces on both sides. The specified thickness is approx. 0,175 mm. The transmission is about 80%. Applications include fluorescent tubes and LEDs.
From these foils, the Dr. D. Müller GmbH punched and molded parts that are then used in the LED area.
In addition, the Dr. D. Müller GmbH also offers products for thermal management in LED technology. Thermal Compound of the Thermigrease brand, thermally conductive foil of the Thermiflex product range as well as Thermal pads of the brand Thermipad are used here.
The product Thermiglue TL 23007 is used in particular for gluing LEDs to aluminum heat sinks.
