9713M Electrically Conductive Adhesive Film 3 is ideal for applying EMI shielding to electronic and electrical equipment.

9713M™ 3 Three-Dimensional (XYZ-Axis) Electrically Conductive Adhesive Film is an isotropically conductive pressure-sensitive adhesive tape. It conducts current through the thickness (z-axis) and across the face of the adhesive (x,y planes) and is ideal for applying EMI/RFI shields and EMI/RFI gaskets to metal surfaces.

The tape consists of a high-performance adhesive from 3M with embedded conductive fibers. The result is a double-sided adhesive tape that offers good adhesion and electrical performance. The conductive fibers in 9713M tape 3 also provide improved handling properties.

9713M's 3 three-dimensional (XYZ axis) electrically conductive adhesive film is ideal for applying EMI shielding to electronic and electrical equipment. It can be combined with various types of laminate foil shielding such as aluminium/PVC or copper/PVC laminates to create a customized shielding solution. This tape can also be used to attach conductive cloth/foam core EMI gaskets to electronics cabinets.

9713M Tape 3 can be used in strips or cut to specific shapes and sizes. Compared to screws or other mechanical connectors, the tape offers reduced assembly time and a solid connection line with no gaps that could cause EMI emissions.

9713M Adhesive Tape 3 is ideal for mounting to EMI cages and circuit boards in telecom equipment. The EMI cages typically consist of aluminum frames and covers to protect components on the board from EMI/RFI. The metal frame must be grounded to a large copper trace etched around the components to be protected. Adhesive tape 9713 from 3M is applied as a stamped part in the shape of the etched loop conductor. Then the frame is connected to the orbiting track.
