Innovative solutions of trend-setting technologies at the PCIM Europe 2013

From May 14th to 16th, 2013, all important power electronics companies from Germany and abroad will present their innovations in Nuremberg.

The future markets for renewable energy generation, smart grids, energy efficiency and consumer electronics play a major role here. Power electronics, a key technology for many areas of application, are of great importance.

New in a proven concept

For the first time, the trade fair will take place in Halls 7 and 9, taking into account the constantly increasing space requirements of existing and the increasing number of new exhibitors. In the last 3 years alone, the exhibition area of ​​PCIM Europe has increased by approx. 30% and will reach 18.500 square meters this year. The second forum, in which overarching topics are bundled, is also new. Panel discussions, round tables and short seminars take place there. As before, there will also be presentations by the exhibitors.

Concentrated knowledge in the PCIM conference

Pioneering technologies such as solar and wind power, e-mobility and new materials are also the focus of the PCIM conference. In six special sessions, the new impetus for these technologies will be examined in more detail. In total, the participants can look forward to more than 230 lectures and poster presentations in over 40 sessions, which will provide a comprehensive overview of current topics in power electronics. Experts from leading companies and representatives from universities and research institutes will present their latest findings. Highlights at the beginning of each conference day are the three keynotes on the topics "HVDC - state of the art and future trends", "New generation of traction drives based on SiC power components" and "High-density Fast-Transient Voltage Regulator Module".

Extensive seminar and tutorial program

On the two days leading up to the conference, six seminars and ten tutorials offer participants the opportunity to find out more about specific power electronics issues. Internationally sought-after industry experts were invited to speak about their specialist area.
