Black insulating crepe paper is a semi-conductive material that has conductive properties and a high dielectric strength. Black insulating crepe paper has a high degree of purity and high oil absorption, has excellent compatibility with insulating liquids (mineral oils, silicone oils and ascerol oils) and is free of conductive particles. Black insulating crepe paper is a stretchable material.

Black semi-conductive crepe paper is used by the transformer and cable processing industries. The main application of the material is to earth leakage currents.
