Our white high-performance polyimide film
Dr. Dietrich Müller GmbH presents an innovative white polyimide film with and without adhesive, which has been specially developed for demanding industrial and technical applications. This versatile material is characterized by excellent thermal, electrical and chemical properties and is ideal for applications that require high precision and resilience.
Product description
The film is 50 µm thick and consists of polyimide with a permanently glossy, white surface. It was specially developed for thermal transfer printing and has an acrylic adhesive layer with a stable carrier film (also available without adhesive on request).
Main features
- Thermal transfer printing: Permanently printable surface, ideal for high-resolution prints.
- Chemical resistance: Resistant to chemicals, cold and solvents.
- Temperature stability: Long-term resistant to +150 °C; short-term resistant to +300 °C.
- Low outgassing
- REACH and RoHS compliant
Applications
The white polyimide film is used in a wide range of technology areas, including:
- Electronics: Identification and traceability of printed circuit boards.
- Military Electronics: Meets standards such as MIL-STD-202G and MIL-STD-883E.
- High-precision labels: For applications requiring low outgassing and high durability.
- Automated processes: Suitable for machine processing.
Technical data
- Total thickness: 0,111 mm with adhesive (thickness of adhesive 0,05 mm)
- Adhesion: ≥44 N/100 mm after 24 hours
- Temperature Rating: 100 hours at 150°C; 5 minutes at 260 °C; 90 seconds at 300 °C
- Delivery form: Roll goods (1020 mm width), cuts and punched parts on request
Advantages and Tips
The material offers long-lasting performance under difficult conditions. For best results, label surfaces should be clean and free of dust or oil. Preheating the surface can improve adhesion and durability.
