PFA-Films

PFA PTFE film foil

PFA-Films

PFA film offers the highest continuous service temperature of any melt processable fluoropolymer film at 260°C (500°F). PFA film offers many of the performance properties of PTFE in a clear, transparent form and can be welded, thermoformed, welded, metallized or laminated to a variety of materials.

We offer two different options for PFA films:

  1. PFA general purpose film
  2. PFA weldable film

PFA general purpose film

PFA general purpose film, offers a combination of excellent dielectric properties over a wide range of temperatures and frequencies, highest chemical and stress crack resistance, excellent clarity and weatherability. The chemical resistance of PFA provides excellent tank lining properties.

Advantages of PFA general purpose film

  • Excellent flexural strength, stress crack resistance and anti-stick release properties.
  • Excellent chemical resistance and weatherability in extreme environments
  • Excellent dielectric strength, excellent electrical insulation properties
  • Suitable for cryogenic and high temperature applications with a range from -254°C to 260°C
  • Available with C-treatment to provide a cementable surface on one or both sides of the film

Applications of PFA general purpose film:

  • Protective linings
  • semiconductor encapsulants
  • expansion joints
  • membranes and gaskets
  • liquid bags.

PFA welding film

PFA welding film for mechanical applications, is an ideal economical solution for applications that do not have high aesthetic requirements, such as the application of hot melt adhesive (welding tape). PFA sealing film has all the physical, mechanical and thermal properties of PFA film while offering up to 25% savings.

Advantages of PFA welding film

  • Excellent flexural strength, stress crack resistance, and anti-stick release properties

Applications of PFA welding film:

  • Welding
  • process strip
  • casting
