Polyester film adhesive tapes
Adhesive tapes made of polyester films have a high insulating and penetrating capacity despite the lower film thickness of 25-50 µm. However, we also supply polyester film adhesive tapes in all polyester film thicknesses.
Due to the acrylate adhesive used, polyester film adhesive tapes are also resistant to most chemicals and solvents. In addition to acrylate adhesives, we also supply polyester film adhesive tapes with silicone and rubber adhesives.
Adhesive tapes made from polyester films are mainly used in the following applications:
• Core insulation, interlayer insulation and cover layer in transformer construction
• Strain relief for supply lines in electric motor and transformer construction
• End bandage of chokes and transformers
• Masking of self-supporting coils as well as the beginning and end of the winding
• End winding insulation and phase separation in electrical engineering
• Fastening non-adhesive insulation
• Masking in the multi-spool winding
