NMN flexible laminates
The flexible laminate NMN – (Nomex-Mylar-Nomex) – is made from a polyester film coated on both sides with Nomex-Meta-Aramid paper.
The polyester film offers good electrical insulation while Nomex® offers excellent tear strength, resin absorption and thermal insulation.
Depending on the thickness of the Nomex paper layer laminated with polyester film, four families are defined:
NMN laminates with 50 micron Nomex
The common and most used family is 50 microns thick.
NMN laminates with 80 micron Nomex
For demanding applications where an increase in the thermal barrier layer is required, 80 µ Nomex is used.
NMN laminates with 130 micron Nomex
For the most demanding applications, 130 µ Nomex is used.
And finally, for less intensive applications, where premium performance can be achieved with absolute certainty through layers of Nomex paper as thin as 37 microns.

We carry NMN in different strengths. We have NMN sheets up to a thickness of 1,4 mm in stock. We also have rolled goods from a thickness of 0,09 mm in stock.
Adhesive tapes made of NMN
NMN is also supplied in self-adhesive form, for example as adhesive tape. These can be equipped with different adhesive systems.
NMN in the form of stamped parts
NMN is processed in large quantities in the manufacturing process of stamping into insulating parts, seals and washers.
Laser processing of NMN
Laser processing of NMN can be done with either a 10,6 µm or a 9,3 µm CO2 laser.
Laser cutting NMN with a CO2 laser produces a clean cut with minimal discoloration.
Laser marking of insulation paper with a CO2 laser produces an indelible surface mark with no depth that can be either lighter or darker depending on the material being processed.
Laser engraving of NMN brings out both depth and contrast depending on the material being processed and is limited to material thickness.
