Use of the hard paper tubes
Web-wound round tubes made of laminated paper are used both in the electrical industry as a high-quality insulating material and in mechanical engineering as a construction material.
Application examples are the bolt insulation in transformer construction, the winding head shaping in electrical engineering, the bobbin or the cage in bearing construction.
Structure of the hard paper tubes:
Laminated paper round tubes consist of paper webs impregnated with phenolic resin. These paper webs are wound in parallel on winding machines, with the phenolic resin system bonding the individual webs together under the influence of pressure and heat.
During the subsequent hardening process, the layers change into an insoluble state. The finished tubes are then ground and machined according to customer requirements. In addition, the laminated paper tubes can also be varnished at the end.
