Prolight + Sound Conference bundles information events under one roof

From April 10th to 13th, 2013, Prolight + Sound will be presenting all the important products and services from event technology, production and broadcasting, system integration and audiovisual media technology. Prolight + Sound is the international industry meeting point for exhibitors, dealers, trade visitors and professional users from all over the world. The extensive range of products and services at the trade fair and the internationality of the exhibitors and visitors make Prolight + Sound the largest and most important trade fair in its sector.

Prolight + Sound conference

The information and training events at Prolight + Sound 2013 are themed Prolight + Sound Conference rebundled. This is divided into the areas of event technology, media systems and VDT Academy. The Prolight + Sound Conference takes place in Hall 9.1 and Hall 9.T Cosmopolitan Lounge. With lectures and presentations, the speakers from the field of media technology pass on their practical knowledge and present product solutions and services from the field of AV media technology and system integration. In the area of ​​event technology, speakers provide information on security in the event industry, legal framework, regulations and further education offers. The VDT Academy is the information event of the Association of German Tonmeisters.

Venue

The Eventplaza is a three-day conference with an accompanying exhibition that conveys trends and strategies, know-how, ideas and impulses from speakers from the industry. The Eventplaza Conference is the information event for the event management industry. The 1st International Safety Conference (I-ESC) takes place as part of the Eventplaza Conference. The speakers give lectures on innovations in the areas of fire protection, building regulations, evacuation situations, technical security or security concepts for trade fair events. The I-ESC takes place from 11 a.m. to 18 p.m. in the Portalhaus of Messe Frankfurt. The exhibitors in this area can be found both in the halls and in a separate area in the foyer of Hall 11.0 and are listed in a special quick finder that is available to visitors during Prolight + Sound.

System integration and AV media technology

The system integration and AV media technology trades will be shown integrated in all Prolight + Sound halls. Exhibitors from the Media Systems product area are listed in the “Media Systems Quickfinder” brochure, which serves as a guide during the trade fair. The information events as part of the Prolight + Sound Conference are linked to this area in terms of content.

Exterior Area

On the exhibition grounds, the Concert Sound Arena and the Portable Sound Arena show both large stage constructions in ideal form as well as large and small sound reinforcement systems under real conditions. Another growing area is the presentation of manufacturers of large portable display systems, mobile stages and tent systems, which can also be found in the outdoor area.

During Prolight + Sound, the two industry prizes “Opus – German Stage Prize” and “Sinus – System Integration Prize” will be presented. The opus honors artistically outstanding stage productions. The Sinus rewards the creative use of AV media technology in buildings and systems. In 2013 it will be awarded for the tenth time.

Due to the fact that the Musikmesse is held at the same time, the exhibitors can optimally use the existing synergies between the two sectors. Here are some intersections with the musical instrument industry and end customer requirements. Due to the spatial proximity of the two events and their halls, the studio technology and broadcast area is comprehensively represented across the fluid borders between end customers and professional users. Partners of Prolight + Sound are the trade associations VPLT (Association for Professional Light and Sound Technology) and EVVC (European Association of Event Centers eV).

Prolight + Sound is the largest international trade fair for technologies and services for events, installations and production. At the 2012 event, 878 exhibitors from 41 countries presented their products and services to around 41.000 visitors. The international music fair takes place at the same time and is an ideal complement. The Prolight + Sound Ticket also entitles you to visit the Musikmesse.
