Greater focus on polyimide films
dr Dietrich Mueller GmbH | 13.12.2019/XNUMX/XNUMX
the dr Dietrich Müller GmbH will focus even more in the future polyimide filmn focus. The range of thicknesses and the variety of variants are increased.
the dr Dietrich Müller GmbH, a leading supplier of electrical insulation materials, thermally conductive products, seals and technical films, has extensively expanded its product range of polyimide films.
Greater range of thicknesses polyimide films
Polyimide films, previously available as standard in a thickness range of 12,5 – 125µ, have become more popular due to this thickness limitation for their flexibility in insulating wires, conductors, cables, windings, motor slots, solenoids, transformers and capacitors. Special grades are used to insulate high-temperature resistant wires, cables and flat cables and as masking tapes.
Additional strengths are now available for applications where material rigidity, low moisture absorption, high dielectric strength and flammability class V0 are important.
the dr D. Müller GmbH offers polyimide films under the brand name Flexiso PI FI 16000 in addition to the known thicknesses of 0,150, 0,180, 0,200, 0,230 and 0,250 mm. In addition, it is now also possible to purchase customer-specific foils up to a thickness of 0,50 mm.
As areas of application, the Dr. Dietrich Müller GmbH Housing insulation of electrical and electronic devices as well as slot insulation and cover slides in electric motors, in particular also for drives of electric vehicles, in which polyester film is used due to its temperature resistance of 130 . insufficient °C. Another area of application is insulating parts for batteries. Lithium-ion battery cases must be lined with polyimide film for electrical insulation and fire protection.
Other special types
In addition to expanding the product range in the thickness range, Dr. Dietrich Müller GmbH has also expanded its product range to include other special types.
With the polyimide film Flexiso BW FI 16035, Dr. Dietrich Müller GmbH developed a thermally conductive polyimide film as an alternative to established products on the market. This film is used in electronic equipment to cool power modules and in the manufacture of printed circuit boards. the dr D. Müller GmbH supplies Flexiso BW FI 16035 with a thickness of 0,05 mm for newly developed electronics for a vehicle brake.
The polyimide film Flexiso CR FI 16055 is a corona-resistant polyimide film that is used specifically for the insulation of profiled conductors and cables - especially in systems subject to high electrical loads.
Both films are available in adhesive and non-adhesive versions.
Transparent polyimide film
The company from Ahlhorn will soon be able to supply transparent polyimide films that can be used in particular for applications in the display sector. New foldable displays are predestined for the use of this film.
Further processing of polyimide films
the dr D. Müller GmbH supplies the new polyimide films in cut rolls, as stamped and formed parts or as wide goods. Prototypes can also be produced on the company's cutting plotters or laser cutting machines.
It is also possible to make the material fully or partially adhesive. This is where the Ahlhorn-based company uses its SP 61321 transfer adhesive.
