Tecfilm® PET FI 13036 – transparent, flame-retardant polyester film

Tecfilm® PET FI 13036 is a clear, glossy polyester film specially developed for applications requiring high transparency combined with reliable flame retardancy. The film is made from polyethylene terephthalate (PET) with a non-migrating, halogen-free, phosphorus-based flame retardant. Thus, the film meets the requirements for modern, environmentally friendly materials and achieves flammability class UL94 VTM-0.

material properties

Tecfilm® PET FI 13036 impresses with a balanced combination of mechanical stability, thermal resistance and optical quality:

  • Modulus of elasticity: 3600 N/mm² (MD), 4000 N/mm² (TD)
  • Shrinkage at 150 °C: 2,5% (MD), 0,9% (TD)
  • Transparency: 90% (ASTM D1003)
  • Density: 1,4 g / cm³
  • Flammability class: UL 94 VTM-0

These properties make the film interesting for both technical and optically demanding applications.
