What is tesa® ACXplus?

The high adhesive performance of tesa®ACXplus is based on its viscoelasticity: The associated elastic and viscous properties of the acrylic foam tape ensure internal strength and the compensation of mechanical loads.

The constructive connection is a central task in every industry, which can pose challenges for engineers and designers. High-tech materials are used for many applications, and their special structures and properties must be preserved. Dissimilar materials often have to be joined - for example aluminum with steel, steel with glass, decorative glass panels with fiber composites, etc. Traditional mechanical fasteners such as rivets, seams or liquid glue are often not suitable or can even damage these materials.

tesa ACXplus Series 704x – Gray / White

tesa® ACXplus 704x is an acrylic foam adhesive tape in the colors gray and white. It consists of a high-performance acrylate system and is characterized above all by its adhesive strength, its tension equalization and its temperature and weather resistance. Due to its composition, it combines very high adhesive strength with the ability to absorb and balance high dynamic loads. Due to its high processing reliability, it offers a simple solution even for combinations of materials that are difficult to bond, such as plastics, with all kinds of different metals.

The tesa® ACXplus 704x product line was specially developed for the invisible bonding of decorative elements. The gray and white color blends well with metal and plastic surfaces and avoids show-through with translucent and decorative materials. For outdoor applications with high permanent shearing loads, we recommend using tesa® ACXplus High Resistance (tesa® ACXplus 707x).

tesa ACXplus series 705x – high transparency

tesa® ACXplus 705x is a transparent acrylic core adhesive tape. It consists of a high-performance acrylate system and is characterized above all by its adhesive strength, its tension equalization and its temperature and weather resistance. Due to its high transparency, it is particularly suitable for the constructive bonding of transparent and translucent materials such as glass or PMMA (acrylic glass). The viscoelastic, solid acrylate core compensates for the different thermal expansion 1 of the bonded parts.

Neutralized edge tack

The side edges of the roll of tape are covered with a very thin glass-like layer. This will neutralize the side edge tack of the tape. Optionally available for the following products:

tesa® ACXplus 707x is a black acrylic foam adhesive tape. It consists of a high-performance acrylate system and, thanks to its special components, offers very good temperature resistance, very good shear strength even at higher temperatures and outstanding cold shock resistance. It was developed for demanding outdoor applications. Especially in connection with our tesa® Adhesion Promoter, the system offers a high level of adhesion security even with difficult tasks. The viscoelastic, foamed acrylate core compensates for the different thermal expansion of the bonded parts.

tesa ACXplus Series 709x – LSE Performer

The new tesa® ACXplus – LSE Performer series is equipped with an innovative adhesive. This ensures secure bonding even on low-energy surfaces (e.g. critical plastics) without surface pre-treatment with e.g. B. adhesion promoter possible. In addition, tesa® AXCplus 709x adhesive tapes can also be processed at low temperatures down to 0°C.

tesa® ACXplus Black Line was specially developed for applications in the automotive industry to enable the reliable bonding of add-on parts to the body.

tesa ACXplus 78xx Black Line

tesa® ACXplus Black Line was specially developed for applications in the automotive industry to enable the reliable bonding of add-on parts to the body. The tesa®ACXplus Black Line adhesive tapes give add-on parts a secure hold on the vehicle body and at the same time offer reliable sealing and vibration damping. The unique adhesive tapes also optimally compensate for thermal expansion and the resulting tension. Our products are jet black and the high degree of conformability enables bonding in curves and angles.

tesa ACXplus series 756xx & tesa ACXplus series 757xx

The thin acrylic foam adhesive tapes tesa® 757xx and tesa® 756xx are based on a new foamed adhesive mass technology. Despite their low thickness, they offer very high impact resistance, good damping properties and, at the same time, very high adhesive strength.

tesa® 757xx is additionally equipped with a stabilizing PET carrier, which improves handling, post-processing and die-cutting.
