NEMA grades A-1, B-1 and C-1 refer to the dielectric strength of hoses, specifically their ability to withstand electrical voltages.

NEMA Grade A-1: ​​The highest class of dielectric strength, suitable for applications with high electrical voltages.
NEMA Grade B-1: A medium class of dielectric strength, suitable for medium voltage applications.
NEMA Grade C-1: The lowest class of dielectric strength, suitable for low voltage applications.
