Structure of Mylar A:
Mylar® A is made of polyethylene terephthalate (PETP) and is one of the surface insulation materials of insulation class B (up to 130 ° C).
Properties Mylar A:
Mylar polyester film® A is tensile and tear-resistant, dimensionally stable, and shows excellent electrical properties. This material has good heat and cold resistance and is resistant to common solvents.
Mylar® A is UL-approved (UL file E93687). Since Dr. Dietrich Müller GmbH is recognized as a UL recognized repackager, the materials processed by us do not lose their UL approval.
Application of Mylar A:
Mylar® A is used as intermediate and top layer insulation in transformers, chokes, and relay coils.
It is also used as slot and phase insulation, as a cover slide and slot sleeve in electrical machine, generator and magnet construction and as an insulating layer in electrical devices.
Mylar A is also used as a stencil material. Here, contours are usually cut with the laser.
Mylar®A can be stored indefinitely under normal conditions (20 ° C, 50% relative humidity).
