In the current corona crisis, the company is using the film Tecfilm PC TC 00110 for face shields. Every day the company delivers several 1000 of these
transparent foil punched parts.
These punched parts, which are required in the production of visors, are available in a Thickness range from 0.125 to 0.50 mm can be produced. The corresponding films are

The films of Dr. Dietrich Müller GmbH are pre-tested and suitable for Use as visor film with regard to the influence of scattered light and the high transparency and the possibility to disinfect them.
Research cooperation for face shields
In a research cooperation with the Helmut Schmidt University of Hamburg the company also develops a holder for the visor foil and is thus position to also offer complete visors.
The face foil should be used to reduce the risk of eyes, mouth and nose in contact with liquid splashes.
Risk reduction is achieved by using a polycarbonate film as a physical barrier between the face and the surroundings. The face film can therefore be used for reduction of the risk of droplet infection and should only be used for the duration of current COVID-19 health threat.
According to the type examination certificate, the product provides “protection against liquid splashes in accordance with the requirements of DIN EN 166:2001 “Personal eye protection: Requirements”, with the exception of the mechanical protective effect and the optional requirements.
The face film is labelled as a product of PPE class II according to Regulation (EU) 2016/425 of 09.03.2016 “on personal protective equipment”, Official Journal of the European Union of 31.03.2016. A type examination certificate is available for the product, which is based on partial tests; the test basis is: EN 166 : 2001 ECS test principle for eye protection devices for COVID-19 hazards, Rev.01 of 02.04.2020.
The product can be used with its own corrective goggles, as well as disposable respiratory protection masks and oronasal masks which, when worn in combination with the face film, do not touch the film from the inside and/or do not impair the proper fit of the face film.
