The world’s most important technology event will be held in Hannover from 8 to 12 April 2013.
With its clear focus on core technologies and services in industrial production, innovations and efficiency, HANNOVER MESSE has met with an outstanding response from companies and institutions worldwide. “The positive feedback from our customers as well as an excellent number of registrations are clear signals for a strong HANNOVER MESSE 2013,” says Dr. Jochen Köckler, Member of the Board of Management of Deutsche Messe AG.
Especially in light of the current economic forecasts for the coming months, these signals cannot be taken for granted. Köckler: “HANNOVER MESSE has proven time and again that, as the international meeting place for decision-makers and investors from industry, business and politics, it stands for new positive impetus and can point the way ahead.
In view of the global economic environment, companies have high hopes for the event next April, says Köckler. “Many companies have already registered. Six months before HANNOVER MESSE opens, around 70 percent of the site is already booked – a new record at this early stage. The companies know: In Hannover, opportunities turn into concrete business.”
The organizers expect a fully occupied exhibition center for HANNOVER MESSE 2013 – next year’s theme is “Integrated Industry”. “In view of the current level of registrations, we are very optimistic about April,” Köckler continues. “Because one thing we can say with certainty: We will experience a high-quality, very international exhibition that provides answers and solutions to the key technological questions of all industrial sectors. HANNOVER MESSE is therefore the showcase for both the present and the future of industry.
Five key themes and countless synergies
With five main themes, HANNOVER MESSE is very well positioned for the coming year. Industrial automation and IT, energy and environmental technologies, drive and fluid technology, industrial subcontracting, production technologies and services, and research and development represent the core of the industry. “All the technologies presented within these focal themes have one thing in common: they increase industrial productivity and thus the competitiveness of companies,” explains Köckler. The exchange within the industry and the synergies that result from the coexistence of different sectors at the same time and place makes HANNOVER MESSE unique worldwide. On the one hand, HANNOVER MESSE scores with its diversity and technological innovations. On the other hand, it impresses with its depth of detail in all core themes.
Valuable contacts and concrete business deals are made on site and promoted through networking events, panel discussions and forums. Decision-makers and investors from around the world come to HANNOVER MESSE to find out about new trends, topics and technologies. On this basis, the transfer of know-how across industries becomes a reality, creating more than five million business contacts every year.
Keynote theme Integrated Industry
However, networking is not only a major topic among exhibitors and visitors at the fair, but also in technological terms. Increasingly, all areas of the industry are becoming more closely networked. HANNOVER MESSE has dubbed this trend “Integrated Industry” and has made it the guiding theme for the entire 2013 event, referring to machines, systems and components that can communicate with each other more intelligently than ever before and exchange information in real time. In this way, products can be seamlessly documented over their entire life cycle, or maintenance and repairs can be initiated automatically.
Digitalization and IT technologies are leading to major changes within companies and in the economic exchange of information. The exchange of information within companies is changing, but industries are also moving closer together and forming new alliances. In this respect, the guiding theme is particularly suited to HANNOVER MESSE as a marketplace for different industries and the generation of additional synergies.
Partner Country Russia
Every year, one exhibitor nation receives special attention at HANNOVER MESSE. Next year, the Russian Federation, one of the largest economies, will present itself as a partner country both at the exhibition and at accompanying forums and events. “For exhibitors and trade visitors at HANNOVER MESSE, the investment potential in the Russian market will be a major attraction,” says Köckler. In Russia, the “Year of Sustainability” is being proclaimed for 2013 – a theme that will find many points of contact at HANNOVER MESSE.
