Great success for a company from the community of Großenkneten: Dr. Dietrich Müller GmbH has been awarded the European Business Award in the category “The Digital Technology Award”. The company, based at the Zeppelinring in Ahlhorn, prevailed against 180 national competitors and convinced the independent jury of renowned economic experts, according to a press release. The company is considered a leading processor of films for the electrical and electronics industry. Ahlhorn has already received several awards in the past.
The prize was presented to Dr. Dietrich Müller GmbH and eleven other national winners at an exclusive award ceremony at the British Embassy in Berlin. The Ahlhorn-based company has now qualified for the final phase of the competition and will represent Germany in the European final round. The final winners will be announced on May 23rd at the European Business Awards Gala in Warsaw.
“We are delighted to have won this internationally renowned competition against the best German companies,” explains Dr. Michael Müller of Dr. Dietrich Müller GmbH. He is also quoted as saying: “Winning the prize in the digitization category is recognition of our efforts to adapt our business processes to the requirements of the future.
The European Business Awards were presented for the eleventh time. Their aim is to recognise the success of European businesses and to support the development of a stronger economic community in Europe. National companies are initially selected from an initial 112,000 applicants from 34 countries. The winners are chosen nationally per category before the final winners are announced at the European Business Awards Gala in Warsaw on 23 May.
With around 70 employees, Dr. Dietrich Müller GmbH is today one of the world’s largest suppliers of electrical insulation materials, thermal conductivity products, gaskets and technical films. It has been based in Ahlhorn for a long time. As a service provider for the manufacturing industry, the company focuses on the development and implementation “of individual, tailor-made solutions for the manufacturing processes of the respective partners”, according to the company.
Müller works for manufacturers of electric motors, generators and transformers as well as producers of electronics, particularly in the medical technology, aerospace and defence sectors.
At the beginning of the year, Dr. Dietrich Müller GmbH acquired the trademark rights of Lofo High Tech Film GmbH (Baden). These include the brands “Aryphan”, “Pokalon”, “Sonophan” and “Tacphan”. The product range previously known under these brand names will continue to be offered by Dr. Dietrich Müller GmbH and will be further developed accordingly.
