Norton® TH 16011 is a Polyimidfolie, Abbreviation PI, the most important structural feature of which is the imides. The polyimides are produced by condensation polymerisation and processed into film in a further chemical processing process.
Norton® TH 16011 is a high-performance plastic that, in its unique combination, cannot be found in polymeric film materials.
This makes it ideal for a variety of applications in numerous industries. Norton® TH 16011 has excellent chemical resistance; no organic solvents are known.
Norton® TH 16011 is dimensionally stable, the shrinkage is less than 0.08%.
Furthermore, Norton® TH 16011 has no melting point, is hardly inflammable, and has the highest flammability classification according to UL-94 V-0 (UL-File: E231847) and only begins to char at 800 ° C.
Thanks to its excellent properties, Norton® TH 16011 can be used at extremely low temperatures down to -265 ° C and high temperatures up to over 400 ° C and has a permanent temperature resistance of + 220 ° C, at which other organic materials are no longer functional.
By default, Norton® TH 16011 was used at temperatures of 20 – 220 ° C.
Norton® TH 16011 is available as

- in capacitors and
- used in printed circuit boards.
The Norton slide® TH 16011 can be laminated, metalized, punched, or coated with adhesive.
