PEEK adhesive tape alternative to polyimide adhesive tapes

PEEK adhesive tape as an alternative to PI adhesive tapes

PEEK adhesive tapes are a good alternative to polyimide adhesive tapes. PEEK is a material that offers the best combination of friction and wear properties combined with high temperature resistance, chemical resistance and excellent electrical insulation. It is therefore ideal for use in a wide range of applications such as insulation, seals, aerospace components, high performance labels, semiconductor process equipment and more.

Advantages of PEEK adhesive tape

  • Extremely high temperature resistance and continuous operating temperature
  • Excellent bending and tensile strength
  • Good abrasion resistance
  • Excellent chemical resistance to solvents, acids, bases, fuels and hydrocarbons even at elevated temperatures
  • Hydrolysis stable
  • Very good electrical properties over a wide frequency and temperature range
  • Extremely low permeability
  • Adhesive resists moisture and aggressive chemicals
  • Extremely low permeability
  • PSA allows easy application and positioning

Compared to polyimide film, PEEK film has lower moisture absorption, better performance in highly alkaline environments and higher tear resistance.

Applications of PEEK adhesive tapes

PEEK adhesive tapes made as sealant are used in fuel cells, battery applications and in medical technology.

PEEK adhesive tape meets a wide range of aerospace, automotive, medical approvals and standards.

Single-sided PEEK adhesive tape

PEEK can be supplied coated on one side with an acrylic adhesive or a silicone adhesive. It is also possible to obtain the product with a masking paper or a masking film.

double-sided PEEK adhesive tape

PEEK can be supplied coated on both sides with an acrylic or silicone adhesive. It is also possible to obtain the product with a release paper or a release film.

Punched parts from PEEK adhesive tape

PEEK adhesive tape can be further processed into punched parts according to drawings, sketches or samples. These die-cut parts can be delivered on rolls, as individual parts or in magazines.
