Dr. Dietrich Müller GmbH is one of the best-known and most specialized processors of polycarbonate in the form of films and sheets. The brands Lexan and Makrofol / Makrolon are used

Properties of polycarbonate film

The material is endowed with many good properties. The plastic is highly impact-resistant, heat-resistant up to approx. 130 ° C and cold-resistant up to approx. -40 ° C, dimensionally stable and insulating.

Polycarbonate is available in transparent, black or milky white, in flame retardant according to UL94-V0, according to the FDA regulations and with a scratch-resistant coating.

Processing of polycarbonate film

This polycarbonate film can be manufactured using various methods from Dr. Dietrich Müller GmbH printing, cutting, punching, gluing, embossing, deep drawing, bending.

Applications of polycarbonate

The material can be used for displays and nameplates for households, industry, mobile phones, the automotive sector and much more, where the print is protected by the film itself.

Lexan is used as a light diffusion film, particularly in the field of LED lighting technology. Also in the area of Electrical insulation materials, Polycarbonate is often used as a molded insulating part.

Many customers sell their electric motors, transformers, and lights in the United States. UL certification is usually required for this.
The specialty of the UL certification is the strong focus on individual components and their technical, mechanical and chemical interaction.

The primary principle and guiding principle of UL certification is also here to minimize risk for the end user.

There are so-called UL recognized repackagers for the winding industry. These are mostly processors who process the materials produced by the original manufacturers.

This repackaging means that UL basically certifies the products in the containers and in the dimensions in which they leave the respective production facility.

If materials are wrapped around, punched or deformed, the UL approval of the respective product becomes invalid.

Thanks to the repackaging approval granted by UL, the insulating materials and laminates processed by us do not lose these approvals.

The UL-approved sheet insulation material Lexan, Mylar, Nomex, Teonex, Hostaphan from can be obtained carefree.
