In motors, generators and transformers, Viledon nonwovens are used as central components in phase and layer insulation, and as spacers between components.  For high-performance applications, thermally extremely resilient aramid-based nonwovens are available to withstand these high stresses.
Apart from direct use in the electrical industry, Viledon nonwovens are also eminently suitable for the manufacture of multilayer insulating materials, mica tapes and as a carrier material for electrical adhesive tapes.
