Virtual Coil Show: Satisfied with the results

The 1st Virtual Coil Show took place on the 21st of January. Dr. Dietrich Müller GmbH from Ahlhorn participated in the 1st event of the Virtual Coil Show trade fair.

The participants of Dr. Dietrich Müller GmbH from the areas of application technology, sales, online store and production, had the opportunity to talk to a variety of customers – although only virtually.

This resulted in some interesting projects.

A special focus of Dr. Dietrich Müller GmbH was on the implemented projects concerning the topic “digitalization”.

The functions of the online store, the online configurators and the Digital Fabricator solution were explained to customers in individual demonstrations.

The Digital Fabricator solution of Dr. Dietrich Müller GmbH, is the first solution of its kind in the field of electrical insulating materials, gaskets, heat conducting products and technical films. Customers can upload their drawings, select the material and then order their part directly.

Dr. Dietrich Müller GmbH also unveiled four new products and services at the show:

Glueless laminates

This year, the company from Ahlhorn, Germany, is showing laminates that are produced without adhesives. Traditionally, laminates produced with glue are used in the manufacture of engines and generators. Glueless laminates have a number of advantages from a technical point of view. For example, they offer improved thermal conductivity.

Other polyimide films

As a further addition to the product range, the converter of films offers additional polyimide films as well as laminates made from polyimide films, which have improved properties.
In addition, the thickness spectrum has been expanded.

Manufacturing options for transformer manufacturers

Additionally, expanded manufacturing capabilities for fabricating parts for air- and oil-cooled transformers were on display.

3D printing of coilformers

The fourth innovation on display was 3D printing of coilformers for transformer manufacturing. Here, the company relies on 3D printing of PEI and PEEK, which as high-temperature materials cover a wide range of applications.

Dr. Dietrich Mueller GmbH would like to expressly thank the organizers of the trade show for this special event.
