With its clear focus on core technologies and services in industrial production, innovations and efficiency, HANNOVER MESSE has received an excellent response from companies and institutions around the world.

With five main themes, HANNOVER MESSE is very well positioned for the coming year. The areas of industrial automation and IT, energy and environmental technologies, drive and fluid technology, industrial supplies, production technologies and services as well as research and development represent the core of the industry.

The world’s most important technology event will take place from 8. until 12. April 2013 in Hanover.

With its clear focus on core technologies and services in industrial production, innovations and efficiency, HANNOVER MESSE has received an excellent response from companies and institutions around the world. “The positive feedback from our customers and the excellent number of registrations are clear signals for a strong HANNOVER MESSE 2013”, says Dr. Jochen Köckler, member of the board of directors at Deutsche Messe AG.

These signals cannot be taken for granted, especially against the background of the current economic forecasts for the next few months. Köckler: “HANNOVER MESSE has proven time and again that, as the international meeting point for decision-makers and investors from industry, business and politics, it stands for new positive impulses and can point the way for the future.”

In view of the global economic environment, companies have great hopes for the event in April, says Köckler. “Many companies have already registered. Six months before HANNOVER MESSE begins, around 70 percent of the site is booked – a new record at this early stage. The companies know: In Hanover, opportunities turn into concrete business.”

The organizers anticipate that HANNOVER MESSE 2013 – which will be under the heading “Integrated Industry” for the coming year – will have a fully occupied exhibition center. “In view of the current registration process, we are very optimistic about April,” continues Köckler. “Because we can say one thing with certainty: We will experience a high-quality, very international exhibition that provides answers and solutions to key technological questions in all industrial sectors. HANNOVER MESSE is thus the showcase for the present and the future of industry in equal measure.”

Five main themes and countless synergies

With five main themes, HANNOVER MESSE is very well positioned for the coming year. The areas of industrial automation and IT, energy and environmental technologies, drive and fluid technology, industrial supplies, production technologies and services as well as research and development represent the core of the industry. “All the technologies presented within these key topics have one thing in common: they increase productivity in industry and thus the competitiveness of companies,” explains Köckler. The exchange within the industry and the synergies that result from the coexistence of the various sectors at the same time in the same place make HANNOVER MESSE unique worldwide. On the one hand, HANNOVER MESSE scores with diversity and technological innovations. On the other hand, it impresses with a depth of detail in all core topics.

Valuable contacts and concrete business are created on-site and are promoted with networking events, panel discussions, and forums. Decision-makers and investors from all over the world come to HANNOVER MESSE to find out about new trends, topics and technologies. On this basis, the cross-sector transfer of know-how becomes a reality, and year after year more than five million business contacts are created.

Leitthema Integrated Industry

Networking is not only a big topic among the exhibitors and visitors to the fair, but also in terms of technology. All areas of industry are increasingly being networked more closely with one another. HANNOVER MESSE overwrites this trend with the term “Integrated Industry” and makes it the main theme for the entire 2013 event. This means, for example, machines, systems or components that communicate with one another more intelligently than ever before and can exchange information with one another in real time. In this way, products are documented seamlessly over their entire life cycle, or maintenance and repairs can be initiated automatically.

Digitization and IT technologies lead to major changes within companies and in economic exchange. The exchange of information is changing within the company, but industries are also moving closer together and forming new alliances. In this respect, the main theme fits in particularly well with HANNOVER MESSE as a marketplace for different industries and the generation of additional synergies.

Partner country Russia

Every year a nation of exhibitors at HANNOVER MESSE attracts special attention. In the coming year, the Russian Federation, one of the largest economies, will present itself as a partner country both within the exhibition and at accompanying forums and events. “For exhibitors and trade visitors at HANNOVER MESSE, the investment potential in the Russian market will be extremely attractive,” says Köckler The “Year of Sustainability” is being proclaimed in Russia for 2013 – a topic that will find many points of contact at HANNOVER MESSE.
