Innovative solutions of trend-setting technologies at PCIM Europe 2013

PCIM - International Exhibition and Converence for Power Electronics, Intellegent Motion, Renewable Energy and Energy Management

Innovative solutions of trend-setting technologies at PCIM Europe 2013

All the major power electronics companies from Germany and abroad will present their innovations in Nürnberg from 14-16 May 2013.

The future markets for regenerative energy generation, smart grids, energy efficiency or consumer electronics play a strong role here. Power electronics, key technology for many fields of application, is of great importance here.

New in a proven concept

For the first time, the fair will be held in Halls 7 and 9, thus taking into account the ever-increasing space requirements of existing exhibitors and the growing number of new ones. In the last 3 years alone, the exhibition space of PCIM Europe has grown by about 30% and will reach 18,500 square meters this year.   Also new is the second forum, where overarching themes are bundled. Panel discussions, round tables and short seminars will be held there. In addition, there will also be, as before, the presentations of the exhibitors.

Concentrated knowledge at the PCIM Conference

The PCIM conference will also focus on future-oriented technologies such as solar and wind power, e-mobility and new materials. Six special sessions will take a closer look at the new impulses that are being set for these technologies.   In total, participants can expect more than 230 lectures and poster presentations in over 40 sessions, which will provide a comprehensive overview of current power electronics topics. Experts from leading companies as well as representatives from universities and research institutes will present their latest findings.   Highlights at the beginning of each conference day are the three keynotes on the topics “HVDC – State of the art and future trends”, “New Generation of Traction Drives based on SiC Power Components” and “High-density Fast-transient Voltage Regulator Module”, presented by top-class speakers from Siemens, ALSTOM and Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.

Extensive seminar and tutorial program

Six seminars and ten tutorials on the two days before the conference offer participants the opportunity to gain further training on specific power electronics issues. Internationally sought-after experts from the industry have been invited to speak about their special field.
