World's leading trade fairs wire and Tube postponed

Messe Düsseldorf is postponing wire and Tube to June 20-24, 2022 in coordination with the partners and associations involved wire and tube originally planned from May 9th to 13th.

The new period offers more planning security and additional added value thanks to the METAV, which is partly taking place in parallel. The leading trade fair for metalworking technologies has already been postponed to June 21-24 by the VDW (German Machine Tool Builders' Association).

Wolfram N. Diener, CEO of Messe Düsseldorf, emphasizes the industry's support for the new date: "The tenor of our exhibitors is: We want and need wire and Tube - and at a time that promises the best possible chances of success. Together with the partners and associations involved, we see early summer as the ideal time for this. We then expect not only a reduced rate of infection, but also more people who can enter and participate. The exhibiting companies and visitors can go about their business in a situation that is significantly less affected by Covid-19.”

As the international No. 1 trade fairs in their industries, wire and Tube have global appeal and require particularly long lead times. Traditionally, two thirds of all exhibiting companies travel to Düsseldorf from abroad every two years.

Trade visitors from over 80 countries meet at peak times at the Düsseldorf exhibition center. The new trade fair date from June 20th to 24th, 2022 gives these industries clear planning security.

Bernd Jablonowski, Head of the Metals and Flow Technologies portfolio at Messe Düsseldorf, is confident: “Planning security for exhibitors, visitors and the entire trade fair industry is the most important thing in the ongoing pandemic situation. By relocating the two top events in the industry to early summer, we are enabling a safe, live trade fair experience that is adapted to the situation.”

Daniel Ryfisch, Project Director wire and Tube, adds: "I would like to thank our exhibitors and partners for their understanding and their willingness to join us in making wire and Tube the industry highlights again from June 20th to 24th, which they have been doing for more more than 30 years at the Düsseldorf location."

The wire exhibitors present their technological highlights in Halls 9 to 15, the Tube exhibitors in Halls 1 to 7a.

The guest event METAV, international trade fair for metalworking technologies, will take place from June 21 to 24, 2022 in exhibition halls 16 and 17. The METAV is organized and carried out by the VDW, the Association of German Machine Tool Builders.
