Avery Dennison Expands Acrylic Foam Tape (AFB™) Portfolio

Avery Dennison Performance Tapes has expanded its portfolio of acrylic foam (AFB™) tapes with the introduction of the 94 Series.

94 series AFB tapes

The new 94 Series heat-activated AFB tapes are designed to provide the high holding power required for rubber extrusion bonding in industrial applications. The new series also features an easy-to-peel backing film, making it easy to remove during use. These products are offered in full web, spool wound, or plane wound formats to increase flexibility for converters and their customers.

The new product could offer savings over similar adhesive performance tapes on the market today and offers advantages over alternative attachment techniques such as pins, channels, wire carriers and liquids. With tape, OEM component manufacturers don't have to deal with the holes required for pins or add extra weight to the assembly like channels and wire carriers do. Compared to liquids, the tape offers a more even adhesive application.
